Have you ever woke up in the morning and totally could not find what to wear. Your closet has tons of clothing, shoes, handbags, or “man bags”, galour and you just have no clue what to put together because your in such a rush? I would like to introduce to you the future of the fashion industry, the new beginning within our own clothes, an AI-Powered Wardrobe Closet. Ever wish you could just talk to your closet just the way you can speak to your car with voice command and it instantly makes phone calls for you as your driving, or just like you can speak to your iPhone and simply say, “Hey Siri, play Kenny G music” and it plays your favorite music, well I sure know I do! Artificial Intelligence and technology has made stunning breakthroughs in the fields of science, auto, and more. Its time for Artificial intelligence to make a difference and better advance the industry of fashion.
According to the Article,Is Fashion Ready for the AI Revolution, “Online shopping could become a conversation, where the shopper describes the dress of their dreams, and, in seconds, an AI-powered search engine tracks down the closest match”. Companies have already started brainstorming, innovative ways to incorporate technology and fashion but, none in the way that I have proposed. With AI and the fashion industry partnered side by side, consumers could shave a more rewarding customer service experience if incorporated into retail stores and outlets, customizing their clothing to accommodate his or hr needs in a new light. With voice controlled wardrobing the consumer will experience a new way of dressing for day today outfits. Even within our very own homes, I am convinced that soon with just a simple voice command, people will be able to speak to their wardrobe closet and the outfit of their desire will appear on screen. This is the next big movement for the fashion industry.
“The development of deep learning have triggered a revolution in artificial intelligence. The computing devices that now fill our everyday lives generate large data sets, which “deep learning” algorithms analyse to find trends, make predictions and perform specific tasks, such as identifying specific objects in an image. The more data presented to the algorithm, the more it “learns” to do a task effectively”, states Kate Abnett of BOF.. All to say, we can use artificial intelliegence technology to create a wardrobe closet personalized for every consumers home. The consumer will be responsible for uploading each article of their clothing with something called a quick scan. For example, if Jane purchases a new pair of UGG boots, and one leather jacket from ZARA, when she comes home her closet will scan the items and will download it instantly to the file. The closet will be designed and programmed with different fashion trends from various cookbooks such as, H&M, Cosmopolitan, Style Magazine, Torrid, etc. It will include Fashions from eras that date as far back as the 1920’s to current fashions. To keep the closet up-to-date, every day from the hours of 2AM to 2:15AM ( a time when people are usually in their homes asleep) the closet will perform an update. The consumer can talk to the closet and say things like, “I want to look like Marlon Brando with a touch of Kanye West”, “Its a rainy day out, make me the sunshine”, and “make me runway chic”. Therefore, when Jane is ready to create an outfit she can simple tell it anything, and her wonder-closet will do as she wishes. In the event she doesn’t have enough articles of clothing to satisfy her look desired, the closet will immediately show her the look she desires and the stores to find the look at so if she chooses she can tell the closet, “please purchase” and she can command when she will need the outfit by. Upon purchase, you will be able to scan your body so that the closet fits you according to shape and height, also you can uploads your weight, and scan your credit and debit cards in case you needs to purchase a certain look. The are a series of questions and prompts necessary so that the artificial intelligence closet can pick up your style, fashion, and over all look.
The target audience ideally is EVERYONE, mainly from ages 5yrs and up. Another great advantage about this product and service, that I would pitch to my audience is that fact that you only need one per home. So your wife, Husbands, children all would have their own account with sensory touch identification, and eye scan to make sure that you children don’t take advantage of the purchasing options. All purchases are completed once verification is collected to ensure you 13 year old doesn’t use mom’s credit card or debit card. The closet is personalized for the whole families individual style. So it will not dress grandma the same way it dresses your 15 year old daughter, unless that is what the person opts for. I will gain interest through a series of commercials with different celebrities such as, Oprah, Kanye West, Barack Obama, Selena Gomez, and Fifth Harmony advertising it. I want to appeal to all audiences. The cost will be extremely affordable, only $500. because you only need one per household. I also want television shows to use them in hit series, to start to spark consumer interest and provoke people ego feel they need to own one too. What makes my project idea so unique is the fact that when people think about a closet they envision a dill wooden tall closet, no technology, no digital interface, no artificial intelligence. This is something that has never been created. European companies are trying right now as we speak to create virtual dressing rooms to late develop virtual dressing for consumers to have in their own homes, but no one has yet thought to create a AI-powered closet. Another way I would advertise this product to gain interest is through social media. I believe that social media will be one of the first way sot spark peoples attention and get ears tingling. The world wide web is so vast, and so huge, it can reach audiences from all across the globe. This AI-powered closet though created here in the United States I imagine it reaching the people all across the globe. What better way to market the product than online. I want this item available not only in-stores and retailers such as Nordstrom, Home Depot, Bloomingdales, and Barney’s but, online websites such as, Amazon and PoshMart as well. I don’t want the retail price to go above $500. dollars because I want it to be available to everyone, no specific audience. I want people of all classes socially to be able to have one. If someone cannot afford the $500. upfront, it will be available to pay-to-own or rent-to-own as well with payments per month as low as $25. We are living of an age of technology, tho sis the new age, people shouldn’t be limited and dated, because of their economic class.
There are a series of way to monitor and gauge the successes of this powerful invention. The device itself will include a GPS and WiFi tracker, so that at the corporate office we can track the amount of closets and the areas which have the most generated, and purchased. We will also be able to track and monitor them just incase the customer is having any issues, we will be able to troubleshoot the problems and fix it of them. The AI-powered closet will have an IP address just like any computer so we can quickly service the customers needs and fix any problems that realistically can arise as with any device. The customer is not limited to the closet wardrobing them but, they can also use the product to access internet, and stream live music and download apps through IOS software so the consumers can enjoy their favorite music while getting dressed and ready to go. We will mail out surveys to monitor feedback, just like the media corporation Neilson does to track and monitor television watching or channels watched in the homes and consumers will be paid $5 for their cooperation in our survey. Also, we will be able to track revenues and success through through our partner retailers when sales come in each week so that we can see how many people are purchasing our products too.
I would like to introduce to you the future of the fashion industry, the new beginning within our own clothes, an AI-Powered Wardrobe Closet. “If artificial intelligence has its way, discounting could disappear, thanks to software that tells retailers exactly what and how many products to buy, and when to put them on sale to sell them at full price. Online shopping could become a conversation, where the shopper describes the dress of their dreams”,I am convinced that soon with just a simple voice command, people will be able to speak to their wardrobe closet and the outfit of their desire will appear on screen. This is the next big movement for the fashion industry.
