Drones!!!

“Drones are widely perceived as complex technical systems employing professional infrastructures, cutting-edge engineering knowledge, and vast financial resources. Military systems such as the Reaper, the Predator, or the Global Hawk convey the popular iconic images of UAS technology. Where then does the chocolate copter fit amongst these images? “, Maximilian Jablonowski asks in, Culture Machine Vol 16, 2015. I will tell you where, drones! Drones are used for a number of reasons whether it be for espionage, package delivery such as, Amazon AirPrime or for military and intelligence agencies for multiple use. Drone sightings have significantly increased over the past few years due to advances in today’s much innovative field of technology. Drones are influencing commerce and surveillance even in the media. “We are living, increasingly, in a drone-saturated world…Current drones vary widely in a ordability, accessibility, and capabil- ity – from inexpensive, commercially available systems own by short-range joystick controls to multimillion-dollar, high-end military-grade systems that require substantial training and infrastructure to operate”, states Kelley Sayler. Therefore, the very fact that it is affordable and easy to operate media corporations both start-ups and multi-million dollar industries can use them to increase revenue for their businesses. Drones can be sent all over the world, and can be controlled easily thus, companies can use them to distribute goods and can use them to survey and surveillance what is going on regionally for even news media, via streaming broadcasts. Also, companies can use these drones to detect and monitor security systems and also fix them.
