Answer this question on the move away from console gaming to handheld gaming: How has this change effected us and why?
The world of gaming has evolved from consoles to gaming on handheld devices.
I think the reason why they tried to develop video games in this way is that people who make video games realized that players was restricted to play at home and they were a need to be able to play outside also.
Thus the best advantage of handheld devices is that you can play your favourite games while you are walking outside or you are going to school (Ex : Clash of clans etc.).
But the advantage of consoles is that they offer a wide range of video games and the quality is better.
I agree with the first article because video game in general has a good impact to improve some of your skills and capacity. It allows you to make sports at home so some people give up the sport outside and stay at home.
This point allows me to speak about one negative point, is that video games in general are an obstacle to social interaction and some people are so stuck to their video games that they don’t even have real interactions.
On the other hand the world of gaming can be also a place where people from different place, origin and sex interact each other just for the pleasure of gaming because it is accessible to everyone.
To finish I have to say about the argument that state that video games is an obstacle to social interaction is that to counter this argument, video games are also a way for people to meet each other and to have a good social status. For example this week at the Madison square garden there is a huge reunion between players of “league of legend” where the first will win $1.000.000 and where people come and watch the battles.
In south Korea if you are a good player of these kind of video games (league of legend, starcraft, World of warcraft) you are a big star recognized by everyone.
