In my opinion cable television’s life time is coming to end, reason is the digital generation is all about getting content efficiently and cost effectively. Individuals in the age group of 21 to 35 are not willing to pay near $250 monthly on cable television for channels they don’t even watch. It is all about apps and low monthly subscription, like Netflix who currently has approximately 75 million subscribers for just $8 a month. And gives it’s customers access to hundreds of movies and TV shows at anytime they please. most TV channels now do too, have their own apps prompting the customers to enter their cable provider credentials but that will all soon be done with. I would give an estimation that cable television will still be around for 10 more years, because the older folks are not going to switch over to a whole new method of watch television. Some still like the fact that they can surf through channels, they don’t mind commercials because it is what they know.
