Digital media is changing  the music industry  by allowing song writers  and music  composer to insist on renegotiating  the  1909 Copy Writes Act. Under the old  copy write  act , the music  licensing system forced

song writers  to let  others use there music  at a very low fixed rate. Now in a new era  where  technology has taken  over the  music industry, and streaming, digital pod cast and Apple products are in high demand,musician  and song writers  want  to be rightfully compensated  for there work with an increase of more than twelve cents on the dollar.
